New Life Celebration

Registration for participation in the 2010 New Life Celebration is closed.

New Life Celebration (NLC) is a ceremony in which believing parents, and sometimes entire families, make a commitment before the Lord and our First Colony family, to submit their child to God's will and to raise their child according to God's Word & God's ways.  Christian parents who dedicate a child are making a promise to the Lord to do everything within their power to raise their child in a godly way, prayerfully until he or she can make a decision on his or her own to follow God.  Parents who make this vow of commitment are instructed to raise their child in the ways of God, and not according to their own ways.

First Colony will celebrate with families of children born or adopted January 2009 - December 2009 during the 8:30 AM & 11:00 AM Worship Services on Sunday, February 28th, 2010.  We will also host a reception in the courtyard or rotunda (depending on the weather) for our NLC families & friends during the 9:45 AM Bible class time.

We encourage NLC families to invite grandparents, family & friends to be present for this milestone celebration.  If you have someone you consider to be a "God parent(s)" in your baby's life, please feel free to ask them to stand with your family during the NLC dedication.
