MinistrySafe is coming to First Colony and Foster Creek Campuses. This mandatory training ensures our kids have a safe environment to GATHER. GROW. GO.
What is MinistrySafe?
A complete child safety system protecting children, teens and those who serve them. MinistrySafe helps ministries meet legal standards of care and reduce the risk of abuse by creating preventive measures.
What does this mean for me?
If you are a volunteer in our Children's or Student Ministries working with children ages birth through Grade 12, then you are required to take our MinistrySafe Training by August 1, 2018.
Is MinistrySafe Training required if I am a volunteer at the church?
Yes, but only if you are a Children's or Student Ministry volunteer.
How do I take the training course?
All current volunteers required to take this course will be sent an email with information on this training by the Ministry they volunteer in. If you don't receive an email, please contact us.
First Colony volunteers can also join us at one of our watch parties in room D244. We will gather as a group and watch the training video together. The test will be completed at home on your own.
- Wednesday | June 13 |
- Wednesday | June 20 |
- Sunday | June 24 |
What if I don't complete the training by the deadline?
All Children and Student Ministry volunteers are required to complete this training before August 1, 2018. If you do not complete by that date, you will NOT be allowed to volunteer in the Children's and Student Ministries.
What does the training involve?
You will watch a video then take a test. The church will be contacted once you have completed the training. It should only take about an hour of your time.
Thank you for your willingness to serve with us. We are committed to creating a safe environment free from abuse of any kind.
