Navigating in our Cultural Moment
Taught by: Daniel & Cathie Orozco
Parents with kids of all ages are invited to our 6-week Spring parenting class taught by Daniel and Cathie Orozco. In this class we will heighten our awareness and intentionality as parents and grandparents who are raising Christ-followers in today’s culture. Each session will include case studies, small group conversations, and resource sharing. Together we will explore how to help our children navigate the world around them while holding on to a Christ-centered, biblical worldview.
Week 1 — April 8
How do we make sense of our world?
- What is your / your child’s / grandchild’s worldview?
Week 2 — April 15
How do you understand what is going on culturally and socially around your family?
- How are we to live?
- Why we live the way we do.
Week 3 — April 22
Are we fearfully and wonderfully made?
- Understanding the beauty of sex, gender, marriage, and the family.
Week 4 — April 29
How is your family dealing with current cultural issues?
Week 5 — May 7
What is your child or grandchild curious about as they experience their culture?
- Learning to ride the cultural waves without being swept away.
Week 6 — May 13
What is our cultural response?
- How do we create culture?
Childcare available through 7:00pm during Children's Ministry programming.
