Make Hamentaschen Cookies

In Action
Go here for directions to make these cookies. Prepare the dough the night before. Sunday morning have your children help you roll them out, cut them out, add filling, and roll them up into hat shapes. Leave enough time for them to cook, about 15 – 20 minutes, and cool. While you are making the cookies explain to your children that Jews make these cookie for the Purim holiday. The cookies are shaped like hats to represent Haman’s three-cornered hat.
