Care and Support Resources

Wednesday Night Prayer and Pastoral Care is a place where you can pray with a shepherding elder or prayer leader for whatever you need to bring to the Lord in prayer.  It’s also a place to find support and encouragement for any difficulty or struggle you may be going through.

It’s a place where it is OK to say “I’m not OK.”

We believe in the powerful impact of prayer, and the importance of a safe, confidential place where we can express those prayers with one another, or with a shepherding elder. If you need healing, freedom, encouragement, or to draw closer to God in prayer, we are here for you.

Wednesday Night Prayer also serves as a central hub where you can discover resources and support groups that are available in our church and our area. Our Pastoral Care leaders and shepherding elders can point you to helpful ministries such as:

  • Recovery ministries
  • Grief Support
  • Marriage and Family care
  • Financial courses and counseling
  • Substance abuse help
  • Help with same-sex attraction or gender confusion
  • Emotional health and wellness support
  • Freedom from pornography
  • Christian counseling referrals
  • DivorceCare
What is Wednesday Night Prayer and Pastoral Care?

It’s a safe place where you can meet and pray with a shepherding elder or care leader.  It is a place to pursue freedom, healing and support when you experience suffering or you are struggling with sin – all within a caring, confidential, Christian community. And it’s an opportunity to find a support group where you can share and pray together in a community of people who care.

Jesus is the Source for Life that is Good and True

Jesus Christ is our Good Shepherd, the Great Physician, and he is WITH us in the midst of our struggle, whatever it may be. And Jesus is the only one who can set us free from the bondage of sin and reconcile us to God.

The Lord is our ultimate hope and the source of life that is eternal, good, and true. He leads us, comforts us, shapes us, and calls us to draw closer to Him, even in times of heartbreak, difficulty, or pain. That’s why our goal is to foster caring community centered on Christ. That’s why we focus on prayer and pastoral care, rather than trying to “fix” one another.

However, we know that in many of life’s hard circumstances, it’s helpful to take in wise, biblical counsel in order to discern our next healthy step. This applies to all manner of things we might go through in life – recovery, turning from sinful habits, healing from tragedy or health issues, anxiety and relationship struggles, and much more.

We recognize that in the church, our spiritual family, God has given us the resources of Spirit-led wisdom and discernment, as well as comfort and encouragement as we live out the “one-anothering” scriptures.

Prayer and Pastoral Care is for All of Us, and it Can be a Blessing for Many Situations and Issues We May Face
  • Are you wrestling with depression, anxiety, or a difficult life season?
  • Are you struggling with sin, or habits that you’d really love to be free from?
  • Have you experienced loss, or are you in the grip of grief?
  • Are there hurts or hang-ups in your past that you need help to overcome?
  • Is there a significant yet difficult relationship that needs healing?
  • Is God calling you to walk a hard path, and you need prayer support?
  • Is there anything you would like to lift up in prayer, with a shepherding elder or with a caring prayer partner or support group?

If so, then Wednesday Night Prayer and Care is for you!

Wholeness is Brokenness Fully Owned, and Thereby Healed

Whether the source of our struggle or suffering is our own sin, the damage caused by another person, or the result of living in a fallen world, Jesus is the answer and his caring community is where we can experience healing, redemption, freedom, and grace.  As we come to know, worship, and follow Him more, our affections for the things of this world will fade, we will be set free from whatever might hold us captive or steal our joy, and we will experience life in Him that is good and true!

Wednesday Night Prayer is a place to share your struggle and to receive pastoral prayer and care. It’s a place where you can connect with others, and it’s an opportunity to find helpful resources and support groups. It’s also a great starting point to discover other ministries and groups in our church. It’s a place for you to experience care and prayer, whatever you may be going through.

It is a Place Where It’s OK to Say "I’m Not OK."
