Worship Ministry

We believe there is nothing like the sound of the people of God singing the praises of God in the presence of God.

Simply put, worship is the heartbeat of the church. Here at First Colony, we have two Sunday worship experiences: our first service is acappella and our second service is instrumental. Our acappella service uses a vocal praise team while our instrumental service utilizes a full band.

Through both musical styles, our goal is to be a worshiping community in a growing relationship with Christ as we help others worship and encounter the Living God. Through the power of Jesus, we want our ministry to help transform hearts, build disciples, and grow in community with each other. (John 4:23)

Though we aim for creative excellence and to give God our best, it is the heart of worship that we strive for most of all. As Ephesians says:

“Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:18b–20 NIV
